Workshop Facilitator

Abby Wilkymacky is the founder of Mindflower Studio, based in Phoenix, Arizona. Abby is known for her innovative visual facilitation techniques that drive creative participation in surprising, fun ways. She helps clients develop new ways of empathizing, defining, thinking, and collaborating to solve the most challenging problems. Her passion for problem-solving lies in the “fuzzy front end” of the design process for services, systems, and products. Abby is a passionate master of framing real-world problems, developing tools and methods to uncover insights from users, and turning complex problems from multiple perspectives into actionable insights in a visual way. She specializes in supporting nonprofits within Arizona and across the US. Abby holds a BS in Industrial Design and Spanish from The Ohio State University. As an adjunct faculty member, she taught industrial design and qualitative research courses at Arizona State University.

Outside of work, you can find Abby romping around in the desert in her hiking boots or on a mountain bike. She loves doing crosswords and jigsaw puzzles with her cat, Albus. She is also a novice ceramicist who loves throwing on the wheel and hand-building.
